Thursday 11/17

Today we worked on bringing Math outdoors with a 3-Act Math lesson on Pythagorean Theorem. All of the students did an awesome job participating and  collaborating with their peers. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the effort that took place today.

Since we've now wrapped up our main work with functions for the year, we put our new-found knowledge to the test with a practice CAASPP Functions test today. We'll go over your solutions later this week.

Thursday 11/10


We talked a bit about the Desmos Function Carnival activity a bit today, shared back some thinking, and then did a piecewise function activity (instead of Lesson 4.5). It was awesome!

Today we finished Lesson 4.3 and are now proficient with both the standard form and the slope-intercept form for linear equations, including converting from one form to the other.
